Los racores Storz son ampliamente utilizados en sistemas contraincendios, tanto equipos BIE, como las mangueras planas utilizadas por los bomberos, bocas de incendios, hidrantes, bombas… así como otras aplicaciones relacionadas con el agua, llegando a ser aptos para uso de pulverulentos e hidrocarburos, llegando a ser utilizada incluso en Storz 110-A con sistemas de calderas de biomasa (calderas de pellets, astillas de madera).
